SANCTIONED ATHLETES
2013
Prior to the world championships in athletics in Moscow,
31
(!!) Greek athletes have been tested positive and banned from competing !!
2009
Of the latest 90 athletes sanctioned by the IAAF for violating the anti-doping rules 60 of these come from European Athletics !!
That means that 2/3 of all sanctioned athletes from all over the world comes from Europe - from just one out of six area federations !!

DWAIN CHAMBERS
British sprinter Dwain Chambers admits in his autobiography "RACE AGAINST ME" that over a twelve month period he doped himself with more than 300 concoctions.
He also states that during that period he passed 10 doping test without being detected as a doping abuser !!!
This, more than anything, displays the complete lack of quality, and the complete disregard for the rules and regulations concerning doping controls within European Athletics, in this case especially concerning out-of-competition testing.
For more on this see the section: "Dwain Chambers" or read the book - it is a significant eyeopener about the major importance of out-of-competition testing.
OLYMPIC GAMES 2004 IN ATHENS
In Athens 9 out of 10 related doping cases in athletics involved athletes from Europe.
The following is a statement from a member of the EAA Council about how this disastrous situation was handled in the first council meeting after the games:
"It has surprised me, that we have not talked in detail about the doping affairs in Athens. It was only mentioned that all cases were related to Europe, and that we should make an effort concerning our reputation.
However, there were no proposals as to how we should do it. The main argument is always that the IAAF is responsible for everything".
The original text to be found under "COUNCIL MEMBERS
" SILENCIO is the language of the EAA when facing unpleasant and well documented problems, as was also the case with the scandalous shot put final at the European Championships in Gothenburg.

EUROPEAN ATHLETICS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DOPING CASES
Even before the competitions starts, European Athletics has surpassed the 9 EAA doping cases of the 2004 Olympic Games.
With 1 Greek, 2 Romanian and 10 Russian doping cases the total number is now the unlucky number of 13 (thirteen) !!
How can anyone rely on the present EAA Council to be serious about anti-doping, when seeing the attitude of EAA after the 2004 cases (see above), and the terrible result of the incompetence and unwillingness, that we see now.
At the EAA website the 13 cases are also not mentioned with one word - the EAA is not up to facing unpleasant realities.
EUROPE LEADS THE DOPING FIELD
With one more Greek athlete and additionally an Ukranian athlete the number of European based doping abusers in relation to the Beijing olympics has now reached a thundering total of 15 cases.
Not only is Europe the continent with the most doping cases, it is THE ONLY continent with olympic related doping cases !!
After all this, can there still be anyone who trusts that the European Athletic Association is capable of dealing with the doping problems in its own backyard - at all ??
AND IT GOES ON AND ON
Seven Russian athletes (see above) have now been banned for two years, because they have switched urine samples during a doping test.
Switching doping samples is only possible when the doping control has not been conducted in accordance with the existing rules and procedures. This once again underlines that the doping control in Europe (EAA) lacks so very much in quality and uniformity.
TWO MORE DOPING CASES? In a short time it will be known whether two more Ukranian athletes will be convicted of doping, bringing the TOTAL NUMBER of doping cases (see above) up to 17, and in 2009 the results of the retests of the 1.000 samples from Beijing will be revealed - I wonder how they feel about that in the EAA Council.
2008
The retest gave the result that one additional cheater from athletics was caught, however for once not from Europe.
So the SAD AND DEPLORING final result is that, with athletes from 6 area federations and some 200 countries, out of 18 olympic related doping cases, 17 concerned athletes from European Athletics -
- A RESULT OF TRULY OLYMPIC PROPORTIONS.
